Our mission statement is at the heart of our daily life here at St James' and is understood and put into practice by everyone in the community.

We seek to ensure that every aspect of life in our school is influenced by the teachings of the Catholic faith, rooted in the Gospel values of love, peace and justice. 

Everything we do in school is centred on increasing our children’s learning and potential, while striving for the highest standards. As a school community, children and adults share a commitment to work and a desire to succeed and support each other. We work hard together and have fun, active and challenging learning.

Our children enjoy and benefit from a well planned and highly sequenced knowledge based curriculum because we believe that knowledge creates literate children able to contribute to a democratic society, serving others for the benefit of all.

Children, staff, parents and governors share a deep sense of pride in belonging to the St James’ School Family.
