Refugee Week June 2023

All of our children took part in a range of activities as part of Refugee Week.

A big thanks to the children who helped to make the front of our school look so welcoming!

Paddington Bear helped our Reception and Key Stage One children understand more about the life of an asylum seeker in their assembly. We learnt that Mr and Mrs Brown helped Paddington when he needed someone to look after him - and that we should try to show the same compassion to all.

In Key Stage Two, we used a short animation, 'Home', to make us realise how hard it is for young asylum seekers when they come to the U.K.
