Run-A-Mile for Schools of Sanctuary
In assembly, we learned about a lady called Megan, who leads the Schools of Sanctuary project at City of Sanctuary UK. We found out that Megan was running the Edinburgh Half Marathon to raise money for Schools of Sanctuary.
So, we decided that we could actually 'run with Megan' as a way of showing support. On Friday 10th May, the children at St. James' (and some teachers!) brought in a pound then ran one mile - which is eight complete laps of the playground AND field.
See the photos below to see that it was fun, although it was also hard work on a sunny day!
