Learning to be with God
For some time, saint James' children have been taking part on local walks entitled Learning to be with God.
Pope Francis encourages us to learn to be still in the presence of God, learn to just be with Him in nature. God is omnipresent. He created all things. If we just sit in nature and take time to be with him and marvel at the smallest leaf or insect, we will learn to appreciate the goodness of all that we have.
We try to arrange our walks with older children leading their prayer friends. The older children are excellent role models, sharing their faith and pointing out the goodness and abundance we have.
