How will all necessary school staff be made aware of my child’s needs and worries?

After a child has been newly identified as having a special educational need, an appropriate staff member will create a ‘one page profile’ about the child. This profile includes key information about how the child learns best, their strengths, needs and worries and any difficulties they have. This profile is created with input from both the child and the child’s parents.

The profile is then shared by the SENco with all necessary school staff so that the needs of the child are taken into account at all times.

This profile will then be reviewed at least termly with the child and parent to make sure the information is up to date.
