Caritas Ambassadors Visit to St. Chad's Sanctuary May 2023
It was a very informative visit and Mrs. Martin was able to tell us so much about the work they do.
We learned things like the countries people flee from, how many families stay in hotels which is not good and bed bug stings! Did you know 40-45% of refugees and asylum seekers are children?
We met some people who work there, sorting the clothes that people have donated. Then we saw the food bags that are put together because people are struggling to get enough to eat.
We wanted to go back to school and tell everyone how amazing this charity is!
In assembly we told the other children why we really should raise money to help the asylum seekers who go to St. Chad's for help.
This shows we are putting our faith into action and learning from Catholic Social Teaching.
