Birmingham Children's Hospital fundraising
In Autumn 2025, the Caritas Mini Vinnies supported the Birmingham Children's Hospital in their desire to create a cinema for their patients.
The Caritas children have worked with Jay from Birmingham's Children Trust. She was invited into school for a special assembly to share the work of the charity. The children have decided that they want to hold a Teddy Bear's picnic to raise funds for this special charity.
The children identified the Catholic social teaching elements of Family and Community, Dignity of the Human Person and Option for the Poor and Vulnerable.
Working with Jay, the children organised a Teddy Bear's picnic - even getting our caterers MiQuil involved!
The children also organised a 'Guess The Name of The Teddy' competition to raise extra funds for the charity.
