Petitions to Our Lady of Lourdes

For Catholics, the Month of May is dedicated to Mary, Our Mother; it is a period of special devotion and prayer.

Year Five were visited by two wonderful faith role-models from the parish community of St. John Fisher in West Heath. Danetta and Carmel came to share their experiences of going on Pilgrimage to Lourdes, France. We learnt again about how Our Lady appeared to a young girl, now known as St. Bernadette.  

Carmel and Denetta’s experiences have really helped to strengthen their faith. We learnt how they visited the grotto, took part in mass and processions, visited the baths, helped the sick and vulnerable and took time for prayer and reflection, both individually and as part of a large Christian community.

Soon, they will go on pilgrimage to Lourdes again so we have written some special prayers which they will bring with them and present to Our Lady, asking that she will intercede on our behalf, and bring our prayers to God. You can see a selection of them below.
