I hope you and your families are safe and well.
Please find below a link to a letter form Clare Madden regarding the proposed opening of Lumen Christi MAC school.
We have been very busy in school making sure everything is as safe as it can be, following all of the government recommendations.
We have created a very comprehensive risk assessment, which will be uploaded to the school website shortly.
School will reopen to Reception, Y1 and Y6 week beginning 8 June. Please read letter for further details.
I will send out another letter week beginning 1 June to give even more details about staggered starts for the particular groups and where they will be taught.
During week beginning 1 June, we will also send out another survey to check which of you have decided to send your children back to school. Understandably, lots of parents are concerned and could not answer this question last week. It is important for you to respond the survey so that we know we have adequate staffing and capacity to adhere to all social distancing rules.
As stated, Reception, Y1 and Y6 are the first year groups to be called back into school. Their class teachers will plan for them attending. There will be no capacity for children not attending school to receive the same level of work online. Staff will be in school teaching. However, we do understand your concerns and the reasons you may chose for your child to remain at home and will point you in the direction of Government websites.
Those children in non-eligible year groups will continue to receive daily online direction and provision from their class teacher. However, the class teacher may not be so quick to respond to the children as they too will have duties in school.
School will be closed to all children over this half term break. If you are a key worker and require a place for your child at school week beginning 1 June please make your request through email@example.com
If you have any concerns at all, please contact school via email and we will do our very best to support.
God bless all our families and keep us safe at this time.
